They say a Power Suit ‘exudes power- hence the name, prestige, and classic refinement.’ You feel you can take on the world once you put on that special outfit for that important meeting or interview.
A power suit makes you feel like a million bucks. As good as this is, nothing makes you feel powerful and assured like confidence. Confidence is the new power suit, and we have put together four tips that can help you grow your confidence.
• Develop a growth mindset
The most successful and fulfilled people possess a growth mindset. They believe they can improve, and so they go after learning, and learning every day.
• Effort goes hand in hand with talent
Effort and improvement foster mastery, which builds confidence. Confidence becomes less about what you were born with, and more about what you make of yourself.
• Be open
Being open adds to an aura of confidence. Genuinely confident people do not feel like they have to hide anything. Be brave enough to be different, and open about it.
• Resist the addiction of praise
Psychologists have discovered that people who measure their self-worth and self-confidence on what others think of them don’t just do their mental state a disservice, it takes a toll on their physical health and appearance also. Constantly chasing praise can lead to self-sabotage.
Those who attended our first ever live event ‘Confidence Code’ will recognise this as just a little bit of all that there is to learn about confidence, especially with regard to women. So join us on our next webinar, ‘Confidence Revisited’. Follow the link below to book your tickets.
